Thank you for your interest! We get lots of requests from school pupils enquiring about work experience or short-term placements with St John. Unfortunately, due to the nature of what we do, we aren’t able to offer these placements at this time. However, it is something we are looking into offering in the future.

In the meantime, if you're under 18, see what longer-term volunteering opportunities we have in our Youth Programmes section. Adults aged 18 or over can check the Volunteering Opportunities page. 

At the moment, our Student Volunteering programme is geared towards university students, because of the unique society-based setup that Students’ Unions have. We are considering how we can further expand to other Further and Higher Education establishments such as colleges. For schools and sixth forms, you can check out the guidance we have for setting up a First Aid Club, or see what volunteering opportunities are available for Young People, including doing your Duke of Edinburgh’s Award with us.
