Latest research from British Heart Foundation found for those who are dying in England and Wales but born in South Asia coronary heart disease (CHD) accounts for about a quarter of all deaths.

St John, together with the NHS and the British Islamic Medical Association, have created a package of resources including a thought-provoking short film, with Urdu speaking communities, and informative guides to raise awareness of the risk of cardiac arrest in the South Asian community and how to perform CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to help someone’s chances of survival.

Translating with Communities aims to build confidence in communities, so they feel able to act in an emergency by giving CPR or using an AED promptly.
