Celox™ gauze haemostat is for pre-hospital use by trained emergency responders to stop severe bleeding from life-threatening injuries.
The gauze should be packed directly on to the wound and pressure applied for three minutes to stop bleeding from arterial injuries, gunshot wounds, road traffic accidents and other severe bleeding injuries.
Fabric dressing coated with Celox™ Haemostatic granules, which work independently of the body’s clotting mechanism, which allows it to work on blood that does not clot normally, such as hypothermic blood or blood containing anti-coagulants.
Used by the UK Ministry of Defence and multiple NATO forces.
